When you think of Holland, you think of tulips! Every year, thousands of people from all over the world visit our small country to admire these beautiful flowers. Now you can bring a touch of Dutch splendor into your home with the Tulipa Estella Rijnveld. This tulip is a stunning, classic parrot tulip that reaches a height of about 30–40 cm. The flowers are beautifully fringed and have deep red stripes on a pearly white background, giving them a flame-like appearance! Plant the bulbs between September and December and enjoy their magnificent blooms in May.
Care The best time to plant the bulbs is when the leaves begin to fall from the trees. The soil has then cooled sufficiently. Tulips can be planted about 15–20 cm deep in loose soil. The bulbs should be spaced about 10 cm apart. Tulips prefer a sunny or partially shaded spot. When planted in the ground, they can withstand all weather conditions. If planted in pots, it's best to temporarily store them in a cold shed during severe frost.
Size The flower bulbs have a circumference of approximately 11/12 cm upon delivery.
