If you want to grow fresh "superfruits" in your own garden, Lycium barbarum (Goji berry) is the best choice! These berries are known for their medicinal properties and their positive effects on health—they contain vitamins, amino acids, carotene, rutin, and polysaccharides—and they also have a delicious flavor. According to Chinese tradition, regularly eating Goji berries helps maintain a youthful appearance. The berries are often used to make Goji berry juice, jam, jelly, or tea, or they can be dried like currants. Goji berries can be grown both outdoors and in pots.
Care
Plant goji berries in well-drained soil in a sunny location. The plants can be pruned in early spring if they become too large. Lycium barbarum is very hardy and can tolerate temperatures down to -20°C. The plants can eventually reach a height of 150–200 cm when fully mature.
Size
The plants are approximately 25–40 cm tall upon delivery (including the nursery pot). They are delivered in a nursery pot with a diameter of 9 cm.
