Allium Nectaroscordum, also known as honey garlic, is a unique and striking bulbous plant. This plant originates from the Mediterranean and is known for its exotic and graceful appearance. Allium Nectaroscordum produces large flower heads with numerous bell-shaped blooms that range in color from creamy yellow to deep reddish-brown. The flowers are surrounded by green, drooping bracts, giving them a unique appearance in the garden. Honey garlic adds a touch of exoticism to borders, rockeries, and wildlife gardens. This plant also attracts bees and butterflies with its nectar-rich flowers.
Care
Allium Nectaroscordum thrives in well-drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded location. The bulbs should be planted at a depth of about twice their original height, with the pointed end facing upward. After planting, the bulbs should be gently pressed down and watered well. This hardy bulb is best planted in the fall so it can flower in the spring. It's important to keep the soil moist during the growing season, especially during dry spells. After flowering, spent stems can be removed, but the leaves should be left intact so the bulb can store energy for the next growing season. Allium Nectaroscordum can be propagated by seed dispersal and by the formation of new bulbs underground.
Size
The flower bulbs have a circumference of approximately 8/10 cm upon delivery.
